• Driver's abstract shows clean record.
• Driver is an Illinois resident
• Probable cause for stop was no tail lights
• Two movers to be written:
  • Required Lighting (MCC 9-76-050(c) or 625 ILCS 5/12-201(b))
  • Operation of uninsured motor vehicle (MCC 9-80-250 or 625 ILCS 5/3-707)

• Do you take bond (drivers license) of an Illinois resident for only no vehicle insurance?

• No, do not take bond (drivers license).

• In the case above, the offense will be a petty offense
  • Proof: 625 ILCS 5/3-707(c)
